Kouchibouguac National Park (238 km²) protects a unique coast: 25 km of dunes, lagoons, boreal forest and shallow bays with warm water (24 °C). "Kouchibouguac" in Mi'kmaq means "river of long tides."
Kellys Beach, accessed by a long boardwalk over the dunes, is the main draw. Cycling on 60 km of park trails, kayaking in the lagoon, seal watching. The only national park in Canada to offer groomed cross-country skiing. Camping and oTENTik (Parks Canada tent-cabin) accommodations.
