The Itinerary

The Hartland Covered Bridge, built in 1901, is the world's longest covered bridge: 391 m over the Saint John River. National Historic Site, still in use for vehicle traffic.

The Fredericton-to-Hartland route crosses maple syrup country and potato country (NB is Canada's potato capital). Florenceville-Bristol, nearby, hosts the headquarters of McCain Foods (frozen french fries). Potato Festival in July at Hartland.
