The Itinerary
Hopewell Rocks, sculpted by the world's highest tides (Bay of Fundy, up to 16 m), are New Brunswick's most iconic attraction. At low tide, walk the ocean floor among giant "flowerpot" rocks; at high tide, paddle around them by kayak.
Two visits recommended: low tide and high tide (6h apart) to grasp the range. From Saint John, the scenic route passes St. Martins (sea caves accessible at low tide) and the Fundy Trail Parkway (30-km scenic drive). Combine with Fundy National Park.
